Estimation of Population Mean on Recent Occasion in h-occasion Successive Sampling with Several Auxiliary Variables

G. N. Singh, A. K. Sharma

Abstract

This article suggests a general estimation procedure of population mean on recent (current) occasion in h-occasion successive sampling. Information on p mutually independent auxiliary variables which is readily available on recent (current) occasion is utilized and subsequently regression type estimation procedure has been suggested. Properties of the suggested estimation procedure have been studied and empirical studies are carried out to validate the theoretical results.

Keywords

Successive sampling, regression-type estimator, Auxiliary variable, variance.
