Inference under Progressive Interval Censoring for Geometric Distribution

M. N. Patel, Ketan A. Gajjar

Abstract

In this paper likelihood point and interval estimation are discussed using progressively Type-I interval censored sample under different removal schemes for a geometric life time model. Classical as well as Bayesian inference is carried out using simulation of such a censored sample . Non parametric estimation of survival function along with its confidence interval is also considered. An expression for expected duration of life test is obtained. A numerical example is given to illustrate the theoretical results.
